2010 Maybach 62Photographer Garret Suhrie will be set to embark on an international career after he participates in a mentoring project with star photographer David LaChapelle. German luxury car brand Maybach is supporting this project.

The first task on hand is a reinterpretation of the “Exposure of Luxury.” Maybach’s relationship with the US star photographer started a year ago with the artistic showcasing of Maybach luxury saloons, given the titles “Exposure of Luxury” and “Berlin Stories.” Selected guests at the Chesa Lumpaz can view these photos on display during the St. Moritz Art Masters. Patrick Marinoff, Global Brand Manager Maybach, said that the Garret Suhri’s nomination as the mentoring scheme’s protégé was unanimous. Marinoff said that everyone was impressed with his “huge talent and his very personal pictorial language.” He said that it is because of those reasons that Maybach is “delighted” to be able to support him on a “very successful career path.” Garret Suhrie will be going with LaChapelle to work until August 2011. Suhrie will also get access to contacts on the international art scene through the network of David LaChapelle and the Maybach Foundation.
